Mark Whittle & Peter Casley scoring
Teams from A Grade, B Grade and F Class competed over 700m and 800m.
It was a fine and warm day with the wind blowing from the left for the first range and then just to keep the coaches thinking it completely changed around to the right later in the afternoon.
At 700m, the No 2 DRA A Grade team began well. At the end of the range they had a 7 point lead.
At 800m, the conditions were more consistent but No 2 DRA still managed a win by 10 points.
In A Grade, No 2 DRA had a clear win by 17 points over No 1 DRA – 963.77 to 946.66.
Several shooters scored possible for their teams but only Dan Bradey was able to achieve a double possible. Bradey, coached by Chris Williams, was the leading scorer on the range and for the No 1 DRA.
Top scorer for No 2 DRA was Mark Whittle, coached by Janelle Traeger, with a superb 99.10.
In B Grade, No 2 DRA started well and unfortunately their opposition had some problems with missed shots so the lead from the beginning was substantial.
At 800m nothing changed and No 2 DRA had an overall convincing victory by 55 points.
Top scorer for No 2 DRA was Heidi Hogan, coached by David Gardner, with 94.6.
Top scorer for No 1 DRA was Mitch Bialkowski, coached by Geoff Henderson, with 91.6
